ABOUT Detroit: BECOME HUMAN
Detroit: Become Human, a 2018 adventure video game published by Sony Interactive Entertainment was developed by Quantic Dream.
The story follows three androids, Kara (Valorie Curry) who escapes her owner to protect a girl and explore the newfound intelligence she has gained; Connor(Bryan Dechart), whose task is to track down androids that are sentient; and Markus(Jesse Williams), devoted to freeing other androids.
The outcome of their lives depends on the dialogue they choose. Detroit: Become Human was based on Quantic Dream’s technology demonstration, Kara from 2012. Curry reprised the role of the title character.
The developers went to Detroit, Michigan, for research on the setting. David Cage spent over two years writing and directing the script, consulting artificial intelligence experts. Before beginning the shooting and animation process, they built a brand new engine for the game.
They also cast hundreds of actors. Philip Sheppard was the composer for Kara and Connor. John Paesano composed Markus’ music. The PlayStation 4 version was released in May 2018 and the Microsoft Windows version in December 2019.
