Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Update Adds Ultrawide Support, Private Lobbies, and More

After nearly a month of waiting, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 players can now enjoy full support for ultrawide displays. But that’s not all—Private lobbies for the co-op Operations mode have also been introduced, alongside a new Sparring Arena in the Battle Barge, where squad members can engage in friendly PvP matches. For those who enjoy customizing their armor, a new option has been added to reset custom armor and color presets to their default settings, making fine-tuning your look easier than ever.

Beyond the flashy features, the update also brings important gameplay tweaks. On Veteran difficulty, enemy aggressiveness has been toned down for a more balanced single-player experience, though player health has been slightly reduced to maintain a sense of challenge. Bots have also been tweaked to be more effective, providing better support during missions, though they won’t carry you to victory on their own.

In Operations mode, Chaos enemy spawns have been significantly nerfed. The number of Tzaangors With Shields on the battlefield has been reduced from 10 to 4, and Cultist Sniper spawns have been cut from 10 to 3. Additionally, the accuracy of off-screen ranged enemies has been lowered, reducing the number of unfair, long-distance hits players have had to endure.

The Space Marine 2 dev team thanked players for their feedback and encouraged them to continue sharing ideas and suggestions through their dedicated platform, Focus Together. With these new changes, players can look forward to a smoother, more enjoyable Space Marine 2 experience.
