Pokémon GO Adds Galar Pokémon in Steely Resolve Event
Pokémon GO is introducing the Galar region’s Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight during the Steely Resolve event, starting January 21, 2025. This highly anticipated debut will expand the Galar Pokémon lineup in the game.
The event runs from January 21 at 10 AM to January 26 at 8 PM local time, bringing new Pokémon, bonuses, and in-game activities. Players will encounter Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight for the first time, with Magnetic Lure Modules attracting Steel and Flying-types like Onix and Beldum. Shadow Pokémon can also forget the Charged Attack Frustration using a Charged TM.
Additionally, the Dual Destiny Special Research continues, offering rewards like new Field Research tasks and $5 Paid Timed Research. The wild spawns include Clefairy, Paldean Wooper, and Carbink, and there will be special Raids featuring Deoxys, Dialga, and Mega Gallade.
In the Raids:
- One-Star Raids: Lickitung, Skorupi, Pancham, Amaura
- Five-Star Raids: Deoxys (Attack & Defense Forme) until January 24, Dialga starting January 24
- Mega Raids: Mega Gallade until January 24, Mega Medicham starting January 24
Players can also hatch Pokémon from 2km eggs, including Rookidee, Shieldon, and Mareanie. Special attacks are available for evolving Pokémon, such as:
- Machamp with Karate Chop
- Feraligatr with Hydro Cannon
- Quagsire with Aqua Tail
- Lickilicky with Body Slam
- Corviknight with Iron Head
The event also coincides with GO Battle Week, where players can earn 4× Stardust from battle rewards and participate in various Leagues.
