Pokemon GO Adds Remote Raid Passes for Shadow Raids During Fashion Week Event
Niantic has announced that for the first time, players can use remote raid passes for Shadow Raids during the upcoming Fashion Week: Taken Over event in Pokemon GO. This highly requested feature will be available from January 15 to January 19, 2025.
During this event, players can participate in one-star, three-star, and five-star Shadow Raids both in person and remotely. Participants will also have a chance to catch Pokémon with higher IV stats.
A special Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day will take place on January 19 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, where players can use remote raid passes and have a boosted chance to catch a shiny Shadow Ho-Oh, along with the ability to teach it the powerful move Sacred Fire. Additionally, players can use a Charged TM to remove the move Frustration from their Shadow Pokémon.
After the event ends, remote raid passes will no longer be usable for Shadow Raids, leaving many fans hopeful that Niantic may make this feature permanent in the future.
