Apex Legends: The G7 Scout and Volt are Back on the Ground

The Care Package for Season 14 of Apex Legends has out the Volt (and the G7 Scout). Praise the Allfather! Respawn Entertainment confirmed these firearms during a preview event. They will be replaced by the Bocek bow and the Rampage light-machine gun. This marks their first entry into the crate.

The G7 Scout is a new addition to the Care Package. It replaced the Triple Take in Season 11. The Volt has been in the Supply Drop since the 12th Season. It initially replaced the Alternator. These weapons have been fan favourites ever since they were introduced. They are used in competitive, casual, and ranked matches.

The G7 Scout is a popular firearm, but it’s often not as effective as a Care Package gun. The Volt is a powerful alternative, especially for controller players who enjoy fighting close-up.

Respawn didn’t provide any further information on the balance changes to these guns. They usually keep this until the patch notes drop the day before or on the first day of the new Season. We do know that both Rampage and Bocek will take their places.

These weapons are mighty. It will be fascinating to see how Respawn upgrades them. The Bochek will be equipped with Dead Eye Hop-Ups (Shatter Caps) and Rampage (Ramal Damage Boost). Although we don’t know whether the gun can take Thermites yet, it would be cool to see it come with one in the Supply Drop for players to charge up.

Many weapon balances will be available this Season, in addition to all the changes. The most significant difference is that the Wingman will now use Sniper ammo rather than Heavy. The Spitfire will switch from Heavy ammo to Light ammo, and the Skullpiercer Hop-Up will make a comeback. The EVA-8 will also increase the fire rate, both with and without bolts. The Laser Sight attachment for submachine guns or pistols will also be available. It dramatically reduces hip fire bullet spread.
