The game was first released in November 2007. It is based on a fictional version of real events, which follows the long-running struggle between the Templars and Assassins who both fight for peace, but with different motives. This game is set during the Third Crusade, in 1191. The plot revolves around the Secret Order of Assassins based on the Hashshashin Sect.
