Although Marvel Zombies are not a new concept, the horrifying idea was recently introduced to a new audience by last week’s episode on What If …?. The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s heroes were exposed to a virus that made them undead monsters and caused them to tear through the world.

It was quite unsettling to watch the remaining heroes being robbed by a mass of decomposing cadavers. It went far beyond what I expected from a Disney-produced Marvel series. Although it wasn’t too gory, I don’t think it was very family-friendly.

You could also think What If… Zombies?!? Zombies?!? It’s amazing to see some of the things that this book was able to accomplish. It’s a very risky idea. I didn’t expect to see it adaptable at all. But, it turned out that the MCU zombies might be back for live-action adventure.

We have not heard anything from Marvel about live-action Zombies. However, Mark Millar, comic book scribe, has suggested that such a thing is in the making. Millar was a former employee of Marvel. He penned many key titles, including the Civil War. It’s safe to say that Millar still knows many people from the company.

Millar stated in a newsletter that if my sources are correct, there will be a live-action Marvel Zombies down the line… but you have never heard of that from me.”

It’s hard to believe that Marvel and Disney could plan an entire movie about Marvel Zombies. I think Doctor Strange in The Multiverse Of Madness will feature a few scenes where the titular sorcerer finds himself in an alternate universe in which Captain America and Iron Man want his brains. We will have to wait and watch.
