About Civilization III
Sid Meier’s Civilization III, the third installment of the turn-based strategy videogame series Sid Meier’s Civilization is available.
The game map is composed of square tiles laid out on a grid. Each unit, each terrain improvement, and city are located in a tile.
A tile can hold any number of units. A land tile can have a transportation improvement (road, railroad), a farm or mine improvement, or a city.
The minimum distance between cities is one tile. This means that no two cities can touch each other.
Each tile is made from a specific type of terrain, which determines how much food, production, and trade it produces after being “worked”.
Only one tile within a twenty-two-mile radius of a city can be used to work a tile. One city can only use a tile at a given time. Each city can only have one number of tiles.
