About Company of Heroes
Company of Heroes, a real-time strategy videogame developed by Relic Entertainment, was published by THQ in 2006 for Microsoft Windows and OS X. The map is open to players who want to take control of specific points. These points are the most valuable resources a player can control. This requires constant expansion of a player’s territory. These points can be connected as supply lines. A player can take one point from the supply line during a battle and isolate the rest connected to the base.
This reduces the enemy’s resource intake. Three resources are available to players: workforce and munitions, as well as fuel. All units require a workforce. Players can upgrade their vehicles or squads and gain special abilities with a munition. Players can purchase tanks and other vehicles and build base buildings to acquire global upgrades.
At a workforce expense, the player can place observation posts at any captured resource point to increase their production by 40% and make them more robust against enemy takeovers. This means the player may have to sacrifice resources in the short term in exchange for a longer-term supply. As resources cannot be produced by unconnected points, resource points must be connected.
