Deep Rock Galatic Crossplay – What You Should Know About Cross Platform Support
Deep Rock Galactic is widely considered one of the best co-op first-person shooters available. Its combination of mining and bug-blasting adds a unique spin on Left 4 Dead’s formula. Crossplay has been highly anticipated among players since its early access days, as they take on the roles of daring space dwarves to conquer danger and defeat evil.
Deep Rock Galactic will soon add cross-platform support, helping to bridge the gap between players. With PS4 and PS5 launching in January 2022, matchmaking will become even faster than it already is.

In its initial season, many new miners joined the game. Crossplay now makes it easier for gamers who don’t share a platform to stick together.
Unfortunately, Deep Rock Galactic crossplay is only available in a limited capacity at present, allowing Xbox One and PC users who purchased the game’s Windows 10 Store version to play together.
This means if you own the title on Steam, you won’t be able to play alongside users outside Valve’s storefront. Likewise, Xbox and Windows 10 Store users cannot party up with players from different platforms.
Developer Ghost Ship Games has reiterated in a blog post that Deep Rock Galactic does not offer full cross-platform support, noting that “the console launch will not include play between Playstation and Steam or Xbox, but will support cross-generation play between PS4 and PS5”.
The team is actively exploring solutions, but did not make any firm promises due to its limited size.
We’ll keep this article updated as soon as we learn any further details regarding Deep Rock Galactic crossplay.
