Far Cry 3 is Free For PC Players for a Limited Time
Far Cry6 is just around the corner, and long-time fans are more eager than ever to get back into the action-packed world of the franchise and join the rebellion brewing at Yara. Ubisoft clearly wants to help them prepare for their upcoming adventure, too, with the company announcing that it’s making one of the series’ most iconic entries free for PC players for a limited time.
Ubisoft Connect players can grab a free copy if they head to Ubisoft Connect this WeekFar Cry 3You can redeem the code via the official game page on the digital shopfront. This deal will be available through the weekend. Ubisoft.com will confirm that it is still available until September 11, at 7:30 AM local time.
Far Cry 3 is a story about Jason Brody, who finds himself on an island in the middle of nowhere and becomes trapped. Vaas, a vicious pirate, pursue brody. He must embark on an action-packed adventure to rescue his friends and liberate the island. Brody will also encounter some of the most dangerous characters in the area.
The adventure is typical of a Far Cry game. Players will use deadly weapons and drive around in a variety of vehicles while battling dangerous wildlife. This is often considered one of the Far Cry’s most important entries. It introduces the core formula that the series uses today.
Far Cry 6 will launch on October 7 and is available now. Ubisoft has been releasing information about Far Cry 6. The latest game will be set on the fictional island Yara. Players will play the role of guerilla fighter fighting against Anton Castillo, the cold ruler of the area.
The title will see them gain access to an array of wacky weaponry and join forces with some unlikely allies (including a crocodile named Guapo), so it already looks to be following in the footsteps of prior games in the series. There will be many new features, however. Ubisoft has already teased that it will be adding an all-new gear system, while third-person cutscenes, horses, and other fresh additions have also been shown off in recent trailers.
