League of Legends certainly has seen its fair share of new users since its 2009 release. A Reddit post from user BenjiB1243 showed that the game still has the potential to attract new players in 2022.

BenjiB1243 wrote: “I am a new player and I must say that I haven’t had so much fun playing a game in years.” I have a renewed passion for gaming, and this game has helped me find my way back.
They added, “I haven’t been doing anything else and thought of playing a video game as much as this one.”

Some users responded, anticipating adverse reactions from other League of Legends members. As with most gaming subreddits, this subreddit can be dominated by veteran players whose posts tend to trend towards negative aspects of the game, such as problems that need fixing.
These responses never came, and most users shared BenjiB1243’s love for the league.
IvyClora shared their disgust at League players, saying that whenever they mention League to disorders, they usually respond with a reply like ‘ew’ or ‘I’m sorry. I have fun with the game, hun. I don’t torture myself because I’m deep in a sunk-cost fallacy.
