As a parrot, fly through canyon valleys as large as your head! As a wombat, you can walk through the grass! As a fish, swim through sparkling lakes! You will travel through densely forested jungles to lush rainforest canopy, desert plains, and archaic temples. A stunning new view on an already excellent game! It worked flawlessly when I used a Quest 2, which was connected via USB. The motion sickness options were unnecessary for me, but I don’t have any issues with it, so it’s probably a good idea they are there.
Although I’m still not done with the game, I do know that it is fantastic content-wise. It’s also incredible to be able to fly and run in VR. The wombat tunnels in VR are much larger than the standard version. It still feels a little rough around the edges. Everything seems slightly out-of-focus to me (or maybe it’s my headset). I tried adjusting some things.
However, this doesn’t affect the game’s gameplay in any way. My most extensive observation so far has been that many UI items don’t align in both eyes. This includes the intro scenes and the popup when you spread mushroom spores. This can cause headaches, even though it isn’t affecting the gameplay. Although it is not exactly what I expected, I enjoy the VR version of Lost Ember. This VR edition of Lost Ember takes the original game and adds a new dimension. Be aware that VR motion can make you sign sick if this is your first time using it.
