Swedish video game company Mojang Studios created and released the sandbox game Minecraft in 2011. The first public beta version, which was first developed by Markus “Notch” Persson using the Java programming language, was made available on May 17, 2009. From that point on, the game would undergo constant development till being fully released on November 18, 2011.
Persson then departed Mojang and handed work over to Jens “Jeb” Bergensten. It has been ported to a number of devices in the years after its release, such as smartphones, tablets, and several video game consoles.
Microsoft paid US$2.5 billion to acquire Mojang and the Minecraft intellectual property in 2014. With more than 300 million copies sold and around 170 million monthly active users, Minecraft is the best-selling video game of all time.

How to Install?
- Extract the file using Winrar. (Download Winrar)
- Open “Minecraft” folder, double click on “Minecraft 1.7.4” and install it.
- After installation complete, go to the folder where you install the game.
- Open folder, double click on “Minecraft” icon to play the game. Done!
