Monster Prom is a parody of the visual novel dating sim. You can choose from six different monsters to try out for a date. Each player has to go through an event at one of the map locations. This will give them stats that can affect how their love interest views them. There are many endings, items, and mini-games. You can choose from four pre-made characters. Although the Japanese visual novel format is used, most of the humour is Western-influenced. It includes pop culture references, banter-based dialogue, self-referential commentary about monster fiction, and light, satirical themes.
