You might be getting tired of Skyrim. The older entries in the Elder Scrolls Series can offer a great change of pace and have vibrant mod communities.

Morrowind, for example, is currently in a month-long marathon. This has brought many new innovations to the game’s 20-year-old title.

Safebox has released a mod called ” Deja Vu”, which adds a new mechanic to the RPG, based on 2021’s Deathloop.

How does it work? First, you have 24 hours in-game per loop. At which point, you will die regardless of where you are at. A previous save will also be saved.

This means that you must get to the end of the game to meet the Dagoth Ur.

Your stats, skills, and spells that you have accumulated over the course of each loop will be transferred to the next. However, there are some annoying catches when it comes to your expiration date.

You’ll lose all your items for each loop. This will also affect your quest progress and journal entries. Your character will be left naked, afraid, and without any clue as to what’s happening.

This mod is intended to add some additional challenges to the typical Morrowind experience. Safebox explains that Speedrunners have reduced the game’s completion time to 6 minutes, with no glitches. The game is also 20 years old. I created a mod to add a new level of replayability without being too restrictive.

To start the mod you will need to install it and then play through a new game. You’ll also need to find the Elder Scroll behind a limewater platter at the census office you visited immediately after the game opened.
