NBA 2K17, a basketball simulation videogame developed by Visual Concepts and published in 2K Sports. NBA 2K17, like the other games in the series, strives to accurately portray the experience of the National Basketball Association. The player plays NBA basketball with customized or real-life players. The rules and objectives of NBA Basketball games are followed. There are many game modes available to the player, and each set can be customized. Many of the presentation elements in the game are based on real-life presentations, including crowd animations, commentary and pre-game, halftime and post-game shows, camera angles and lighting, as well as player animations. These features are focused on league expansion. The player can create either dynamically or with 36 teams. They may also modify certain aspects of each team. In a similar fashion to real-life expansion teams, the player will create an expansion team. The expansion draft takes place and teams must protect a limited number of players. The league will adjust the draft lottery, schedule, and draft lottery automatically. If expansion teams are formed, the league will automatically adjust the schedule, draft lottery, etc. A player can also download creations of other players.
