Nintendo Teases Mysterious New Switch Online Feature with Playtest Opportunity
Nintendo has recently announced a new, mysterious feature for Nintendo Switch Online, offering players the chance to participate in an exclusive playtest. The test will begin on October 10 at 8 a.m. Pacific Time, and eligible players can sign up on Nintendo’s website.
To qualify, participants must have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership with the expansion pack, be 18 years or older, and have a Nintendo account registered in Japan, the U.S., U.K., France, Germany, Italy, or Spain. Registration closes when the 10,000 available spots are filled, or by November 5 at the latest.
This new feature remains largely under wraps, but players will need to download exclusive software to take part. While no further details have been shared, this test may hint at more online improvements for the Nintendo Switch, with rumors also suggesting potential new features involving the SNES mouse.
