Super Bomberman R Online gets a new Castlevania crossover with Soma Cruz.
Super Bomberman R has been on a long road. It was first released as a Nintendo Switch launch title, but it’s since moved to Xbox One and PC. Last year, however, there was a surprise battle royale spinoff. Calling this Super Bomberman R Online that came to consoles last June and now, Season 2’s upon us.
To celebrate this new launch, Konami’s added a brand new bomber, Castlevania’s Soma Cruz, the protagonist of Aria of Sorrow and Dawn of Sorrow. Cruz is the fourth Castlevania character. We’d previously seen Simon Belmont, Richter Belmont, and Alucard, the son of Dracula.

Cruz can purchase 500 Bomber Coins in the in-game store to get the “Power of Dominance” ability that “seals or temporarily copies the special capabilities of characters who touch his bats.”
Season 2’s most recent updates include character balancing, increasing firepower in Blue/Red/Black, buffing Richter and Old Snake, and buffing Richter, Lance, and Old Snake. The renewed Gold and Silver Battle passes offer new items.
