The Last of Us Part I: Relocates the Uncharted & Jak Easter Eggs
The last of us, Part I, has remade the PlayStation 3 video game for PlayStation 5. It’s beautiful, but most of the game remains the same. If you are a long-time Naughty Dog fan, you may notice some minor details that new fans will not. It might be a brief moment of heartbreak, like the one I experienced while playing The Last of Us Part 1’s reconstruction of Pittsburgh. I was mistakenly led to believe that the game had been altered to remove an easter egg referring to past games Uncharted and Jak & Daxter. However, before I could finish the game, it was clear that the board game homages were not entirely removed in the remake. They were moved to a new spot.
Joel and Ellie may find merchandise for the Unchartedand Jak & Daxter series at the Pittsburgh section. These plushies include Nathan Drake, Jak and Daxter. The Nate one is now on the dresser. When I reached the toy shop on the lower floors of the building, I was shocked to find no Uncharted, and Jak & Daxterboard games that I found on PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4 remaster. Instead, there were a few generic games.
This wasn’t the first time I saw these characters in the Last of Us Part I’s universe. The team behind the remake moved the Jak & Daxter and Uncharted board games and another set of plushies to University of Eastern Colorado dorm rooms. They are approximately two sections away from where they were supposed to be. They now appear in the last hallway room, where you must sneak past (or fight if you feel inclined). This is a strange change, especially considering that the Bloater is a favourite easter egg for series fans. If you are here because you arrived at the toy shop and didn’t see any board games, you can rest assured that they are still in the game, just a few more hours later.
