The update on ‘Hogwarts’ confirms what we had feared for the game

An update to the frequently asked questions about Hogwarts Heritage confirms that Quidditch, a fan-favorite feature, is not possible in the game despite promotional material suggesting otherwise.

We’ve seen students riding a broom dressed in appropriate costumes, but Quidditch was not present. This was odd, considering how crucial it is to Harry Potter and Hogwarts. Although Avalanche Studios confirmed that there would be flying classes and broomstick races, people were optimistic about the inclusion of the iconic pitch.

Below, you can see the common areas of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, as well as Ravenclaw, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw. Which House would you prefer?

The developer has stated now that the game will not allow for any engagement with Quidditch. “Quidditch cannot be played in Hogwarts Heritage,” read the frequently questioned section of the official website. The game includes broom flying for traversal and broom racing challenges. Players can also fly brooms to explore familiar and new locations around Hogwarts Castle.

This is not a dealbreaker, honestly. Flight is still possible in some form, and the grounds offer an incredible level of detail that can be explored on foot or by broom. You can even dive into the Black Lake for the first time in the history of the franchise’s games. There’s plenty to look forward to in Hogwarts Legacy on PC and consoles on February 10, 2023.
