Dead Space Remake releases January 2023
Electronic Arts asked Dead Space fans to tune in to EA Play last year for something that would be a big hit. The announcement about a Dead Space remake was a big deal. It excited not only fans of the series but also potential fans, horror lovers, and those who were looking for something new on their new consoles. It was only last year and the first footage is very basic. This would lead one to believe that the game was still a long way off. EA Motive, the developer, did mention that they were targeting a 2023 release. But I assumed it was something like, I am aiming to get a unicorn, but this horse will have enough.
EA has revealed today that Dead Space will be hitting in early 2023. It was January 27, 2023. EA Motive, you got me there!
Today’s Livestream featured new concept art and the announcement. Although the footage so far looks very early, EA Motive promises that a full reveal will be made later in the year. The studio seems to have kept their cards close for a while rather than not having any polished footage to share.
EA revealed four unreleased titles during their investor relations presentation last week. This would have been the fourth quarter of their financial year. For EA, this is from January to March 2023. These titles were games they did not want to reveal at the time and not necessarily games not publically announced. These titles included “Remake,” Major IP,” and “Partner Title,” as well as the PGA Tour.
It’s pretty obvious that Dead Space refers to the Remake, and we can only speculate about the rest. Maybe the sequel to Jedi Fallen Order? A brand new UFC title? There are many things to consider and some possible consoles.
