This Year’s Winners in the FFXIV Furnishing Design Contest
If you’ve been fortunate enough to acquire your own personal estate or possess a guild estate, furnishing the space can be quite a task. While some items from Final Fantasy XIV’s team are made available, many more come from creative members of our community who won prizes in the Furnishing Design Contest.
Each contest invites players to design various furnishings. These can range from desks and chairs, to windows and more. Some even create elaborate outdoor furnishings like garden topiaries, hot tubs and pathways – the only limit is your own creativity!
Square Enix has announced the winners of last year’s Furnishing Design Contest. As usual, there were far more entries than expected this year – leading to an expanded list of recipients this time around.
“Due to the overwhelming number of entries, our rigorous judging process has resulted in 50 more winners than anticipated – for a grand total of 153 prizewinners!” the FFXIV team shared on their Lodestone blog post. “We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to all who participated and encourage you to keep dreaming, decorating your rooms and keeping an eye out for future opportunities to showcase your Final Fantasy XIV visions!”
As part of their announcement post, the team showcased all of the winners. Some of the most inventive items include a Cactaur punching bag, waterfall garden, Magitek hanger and circular tall aquarium. Plus there’s also an ultra-modern heads-up display in Gammascape style.
All winners receive the Great Paraserpent parasol as a prize, in addition to having their item created in the game. The paraserpent item will be delivered to all winners this month. Furthermore, just because someone didn’t win in this contest doesn’t mean those items may not be selected for inclusion into future editions of the game.
