BioShock open-world trailer has fans talking
BioShock fans have been absolutely astounded by this open world concept trailer set in Paris, France for BioShock open world gameplay. It truly leaves them speechless!
BioShock was released 16 years ago by Irrational Games under Ken Levine and remains one of the most beloved and critically acclaimed first-person narratively driven games ever released, receiving an outstanding Metacritic rating of 96 to earn its “Must Play” certification.
BioShock was scheduled to receive a sequel in 2010, however due to not being developed by Irrational Games it seems BioShock 2 wasn’t received as favourably by many; which in my view, is unfortunate as it’s an outstanding game!
Bioshock Infinite debuted in 2013 under Irrational Games’ management and became an instantaneous critical hit; although, personally I prefer BioShock 2 over Infinite (come at me!).
Ten years have gone by since we last experienced BioShock and that can seem like an eternity to fans of this beloved franchise. But don’t despair just yet: new BioShock games are in development: but Irrational Games (now Ghost Story Games) won’t be creating them; rather they will work on Judas: their own Rapture-inspired title instead.
BioShock 4 will instead be developed by Cloud Chamber Studios – founded by Kelley Gilmore – who have only just announced themselves and do not yet have an exact release date set out for BioShock 4.
While we wait on official BioShock 4 details to surface, video game concept artist TeaserPlay offers us a glimpse into its possibilities through Unreal Engine 5. His concept trailer looks absolutely beautiful with some impressive ray-tracing implementations you won’t soon forget seeing.
Unfortunately, TeaserPlay’s BioShock concept trailer does not contain any direct combat. Furthermore, as is usually the case for their projects, this BioShock concept cannot be played but we may yet get one day that is playable! Nonetheless, if it looks anywhere close to this incredible prototype than we may well be in for something great!
At present, BioShock 4 remains in limbo; however, according to speculation and rumor mill speculations, its fourth mainline entry may feature open world gameplay set somewhere like Antarctica.
