Respawn Entertainment has made some recent adjustments in how it deals with cheaters; one member of its team hinted at bans being issued in an imminent wave.

RedSpooder of Twitter revealed on April 26, 2023, how Respawn Entertainment security team has implemented new methods of detecting cheaters during gameplay along with initiating a fresh ban wave.

Respawn Entertainment is making adjustments to improve battle royale audio as part of their latest ban hammer initiative. Multiple players reported significant audio drop out during matches which makes listening for nearby footsteps much harder.
Preventing cheaters from disrupting matches can be an extremely difficult challenge, yet Respawn Entertainment has shown commendable efforts towards maintaining an even playing experience across both casual and competitive modes for Apex Legends. Only time will tell whether their latest ban wave achieves this aim or not.
