In a post on its official site, the company says it’s allowing other developers to use these features royalty-free, so as to help create a more inclusive video game industry. The most well-known patent is the Ping System, which allows players and their teammates to quickly highlight items of interest. Automated image processing is included to assist those with color blindness and technology that generates audio for people with hearing impairments.
