Fans say the GTA 6 cinematic trailer looks like a mobile game according to reports
Unfortunately, we still don’t know when Grand Theft Auto VI will release. A simple reveal would do wonders at this stage – after a decade of anticipation! On the bright side though, every day that passes brings us closer to that eventual reveal date – whenever that may be. Progress! Slow but sure progress.
Last year, Rockstar Games suffered a major cyber attack that leaked an hour’s worth of development footage along with source code and screenshots online. Recently, some co-op story mode footage appeared online as well, giving us insight into how many side quests and activities there will be in GTA VI. Tired of waiting though, one fan took to making their own cinematic trailer for the game – one which divided opinion.
Reddit user GibbsonTV_YT created this animated fan trailer using Blender software. I found the concept project to be truly impressive – regardless of if it matches what you had in mind for GTA VI or not – but his animation skills cannot be denied. Unfortunately, expectations are so high for GTA VI that fans seem to have very specific ideas about what they expect to see from the game.
User Emilixop wrote, “Sell this to a mobile game company for good money.” MacTheBlic shared the same opinion: “Looks cool but it looks like a mobile game.” TheKiweGuye commented, “I can tell you put effort into this. Good work,” while H1r5t_M0V135 added, “Not a bad animation in all fairness – I know just how much time and effort goes into these Blender animations – it truly amazes me what people create!”
It may have a Saints Row vibe, but for now this is just something to temporarily quench your GTA VI craving until something more substantial arrives.
