Football Manager 2014, also known as FM14, is a football simulation video game developed and published by Sports Interactive. FM14 has similar gameplay to the Football Manager series. As the team manager, you will be responsible for a professional football team. The player can sign players to contracts, manage the club’s finances, and talk to players. FM14 simulates real-world management.
The AI owners and board of the club will evaluate the player based on various factors. FM14 has a new transfer module that allows opposing clubs and managers to respond more realistically to transfer requests. Several new transfer clauses based on the real world have been added to FM14.
These include the possibility to loan a player back from the club he was just bought from, the option to offer cash or loan players, and new clauses like sub bench appearance fees. There are two options for negotiating transfer agreements using the old ‘turn-based” system. One is the more traditional system, and one is a newer ‘live’ system similar to Football Manager’s contract negotiations.
