Fortnite Nerfs Godzilla’s Spawn Rate in Latest Update
Fortnite has reduced Godzilla’s spawn rate in Battle Royale matches to 60%, following a series of adjustments to the ongoing Godzilla crossover event. The change comes after mixed reactions from players about the creature’s presence in matches.
While some players enjoy the chaos and power Godzilla brings, others felt his dominance was unbalanced, especially considering the special items that drop when the character spawns. Godzilla’s ability to rack up eliminations quickly has made it a popular choice, but his large target on the player’s back also adds a strategic challenge.
The spawn rate has fluctuated recently, from 40% on January 17 to a full 100% by January 24. With the new 60% rate, Epic Games aims to strike a balance between keeping the excitement of the event alive and maintaining overall gameplay balance.
This nerf ensures players can still enjoy the Godzilla experience without it overshadowing the rest of the game.
