Ghost of Tsushima was recently chosen by fans as one of the’most beautiful video game worlds’ – we couldn’t agree more!

Ghost of Tsushima was one of the most visually striking games to hit PS4 when released by Sucker Punch Productions’, studio responsible for Sly Cooper and Infamous series, in 2020. However, PS5 users soon got even more beautiful gameplay when their version arrived later that same year – surprising us yet again by surpassing all expectations visually and sonically!

Ghost of Tsushima takes place during the late 1200s during a Mongol invasion led by Khotun Khan that invades Tsushima Island from Japan with barbarian raiders raiding and destroying any or everything that stands in their path.
Jin Sakai, an up-and-coming samurai warrior and nephew to Lord Shimura, finds himself drawn into an epic struggle between Mongol savagery and Japanese resistance at Tshushima. When desperate times call for desperate measures, however, Jin must question everything he was taught while placing his moral code under scrutiny in order to save Tshushima’s people from Mongol invasion.

Ghost of Tsushima offers one of the most exquisite worlds ever seen in videogame history; filled with rolling countryside hills and blooming blossom trees filled with petals floating free in an infinite sea; breaking waves crash along its coastal shore; the list goes on… Those unfamiliar with its charm cannot fully convey how amazing its world really is unless they experience it first-hand! Words simply cannot do justice.

Reddit users have recently been discussing some of the most aesthetically appealing video games and, Ghost of Tsushima came up multiple times during these discussions.

“What was your most beautiful video game world experience?” asks Crocodile_Banger. Ghost of Tsushima immediately came to mind for many as an answer l-Scotto-l. Additionally Rythine_ was quick to agree: the art direction in each scene provides stunning scenery that truly draws them in!

“PlayStation 5’s GoT is likely my favourite in terms of graphics; many times while riding Kage I just look around while taking in all the sights while simultaneously beating down Mongol enemies!” stated Firebrand-PX22.

Ghost of Tsushima was mentioned frequently throughout this thread and I could easily quote entire passages to show its importance to fans. Additionally, TheSwervingDuck brought back memories from 2002’s The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind release by sharing their experiences in 2002’s TES III Morrowind game.

“Stepping off of the boat in Seyda Neen in Morrowind for the first time was unforgettable in 2005,” they stated. “The combination of dusk, rain and thunderstorm made an incomparably beautiful scene.

Honorable mentions were extended to Red Dead Redemption 2, World at Warcraft, BioShock Infinite, Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West/Breath of the Wild/Elden Ring as well as many others.

Relatedly, Ghost of Tsushima 2 appeared to have been confirmed for PlayStation 5 back in June 2022 before Sony teased the sequel in one of their ads recently.
