Guilty Gear Strive Developer denounces fake emails Claiming Bridget isn’t transcribable
Arc System Works responded to attempts to make an official reply regarding Guilty gear Strive, and it confirmed Bridget as a transwoman.
Bridget has been added to Guilty Gear Strive as a playable character. Her story mode also included a route which confirmed her identity as trans. As with trans perspectives in media, there was pushback from transphobic people trying to explain the reveal or claim it was written entirely by localization and against what the Japanese version of Guilty gear Strive intended. A person claimed that Arc System Works had posted a response claiming Bridget was a male. Content warning regarding the Twitter thread that was posted. It contains both transphobias as well as ableist slurs.
Arc System Works has released an official reply denouncing the shared responsibility, and its claims about Guilty gear Strive as a fabrication.
