Headlands is a hack-and-slash game. The game is addictive because it has short levels, but many hidden secrets. The levels are short and easy to progress through. This game was fun, and I never felt bored. Overall, the game is only about four h if you don’t want to complete it. If you do, it should take around six h if your goal is to reach all achievements. This is my opinion. I like games that don’t outstay their welcome.
The only thing I didn’t find was a separate setting for the volume of the music and SFX. It doesn’t currently have sliders, so you can choose whether you want SFX only or both. The developer I spoke to would consider this, although it may be difficult to implement now that the game has been fully developed. I experienced a lot more lag in one area, so I let them know, and they will investigate.

I’m unsure if the game is causing it or if other people are experiencing it. The developers were very responsive to my needs, and I was able to trust them to fix any minor issues. Headland’s achievements are simple to achieve. You can choose from 2 difficulty levels or the easiest. It is a good idea not to spend more gold than you need. You’ll eventually have to grind some gold to get all the decorations. Upgrade only one level to the maximum, and don’t use traders at the last level for wood/stone,e as they are much easier to farm than the gold required to trade.
