Here’s a Claws Of Ahamkara Build to Warlocks in Destiny 2.
Every Warlock and their Ghost are running Sunbracers Destiny2 at the moment. It’s a fully-busted build that allows you to throw almost infinite Solar Grenades. If you want something different, grab those Claws Of Ahamkara sitting in your vault for the past couple of years.
This build is from jame, who suggested the following:
- Claws of Ahamkara
- Fragments: Ashes, Torches, Blistering and Ashes
- Mods: Explosive Wellmaker. Elemental Charge. Melee Wellmaker. Seeking Wells. Heavy Handed. Invigoration.
It’s as simple as snap, baby. An Elemental Well is created when you get a kill using a melee attack. This will allow you to recharge your abilities and also charge your abilities. You’ll be Charged with Light (x2). When you use a set melee skill, Heavy Handed will pop off. This means that you can recover some melee energy.
This is an enjoyable build. I modified it to make it more fun. I removed Explosive Wellmaker, and added Powerful Friends. It synergizes well with Heavy Handed because it is an Arc Charged With Light Mod. This activates both their secondary effects. This means you can get +20 Mobility and the Lock and Load bonus of Heavy Handed. Reserve ammo is spawned when you kill an enemy with a Fusion Rifle or Shotgun, Sidearm or Submachine gun. When you do this, your fireteam also gets Charged with Light, which is always nice for your friends.
Although Lock and Load is a bit finicky, you can pair it with shotguns such as Lord of Wolves and other fusion rifles. If you want to get silly and you’re willing to run a non-Solar energy weapon — and you have a gun with the right perks in your vault — then you can pair Lock and Load with a Subsistence/Reservoir Burst Glacioclasm to potentially fire Telesto-like detonating blasts forever without ever having to reload. It’s practical, but is it? It is not helpful. It is fun. Claws of Ahamkara are a beautiful Exotic armour piece.
Sunbracers are not the only option. Juan Malvaes pointed out that Starfire Protocol with Touch of Flame makes Fusion Grenades explode twice. Starfire Protocol is a bit silly. Bungie might give me an ornament to make it work.
EDIT: The best thing about this build is the final airborne blows. Heat Rises active and restores melee energy. This means that you can air-snap all day. Jotunn should work well with this build, with its catalyst and Explosive Wellmaker. However, I need to unlock it first to test it.
We have guides that will help you unlock the Solar 3.0 fragments. They also show how to obtain the new Jotunn catalyst. We also cover patch notes and top issues. Bound In Sorrow quest step, and Calus Bobbleheads. We have covered the steps to obtain Opulent Keys, Bound Presence In Containment, Crown of Sorrow H.E.L.M., and more. Upgrades, Iron Banner Seal Triumphs and the Trespasser Catalyst. We’ve also written about finding a Loyalist commander for Battles Lines Triumph or the Cek’ik Boss.
