Overview Jack Move:
Jack Move is a new take on Japanese-style turn-based RPGs. It promises a unique combination of gritty cyberpunk storytelling and turn-based battles. You will play the role of Noa, a vigilante hacker from Bright Town. Noa must rescue her estranged father, Abner, from Monomind, a mega-corporation that is too powerful. What is Abner doing to digitize consciousness? What does Monomind intend to do with it? Noa will not be the only one on her journey.
Ryder, Ryder’s best friend and tactical planner and Guin Blakely, her ex-corporate spy and Martini-drinking uncle, will be there to help her. The unique single-party-member turn-based battle game features beautiful animations and tactical gameplay. You can customize the software in your Cyber Deck to change roles during battle, which balances offence, defence and buffs. The key to victory is choosing which software you load in battle. Hardware upgrades can boost your stats and allow you to install more software.

Beautiful “Hi-Bit” pixel art inspired retro RPGs and enhanced using modern techniques. You can fight your enemies in cyberspace. You can use a variety of hacking software to take them down. Monocity One is a dangerous place. Monomind is an evil mega-corporation. You will play Noa Solares as a hacker determined to save her father and the entire world. You will need to fight your way through cyberpunk villainy-filled dungeons. Street punks, gangsters, corporate militia, and horrific cyber experiments will all be vying to take you down! Although the maps are not very varied, I think there could have been more sidequests and time spent visiting old maps.
There are many. MANY. There are many interesting characters in this story, and most of them don’t get sidequests. It feels like the game is the FIRST chapter of a 12-chapter-long series. The gameplay was excellent, though. It was great, but I would not recommend it. The music was great, and the pixel art was terrific (though it was a little disorienting to see the screen shakes as you moved around). Combat was also very stylish. All these positives barely edge out the major negative. IT’S JUST WAY TOO SHORT! There isn’t even an after-credits epilogue.
