The Story Behind the Image
Roland claims that he used to be a Grade 1 Fixer, who dealt primarily with information and intelligence (and didn’t participate in combat), before he was demoted to Grade 9, the lowest ranking.
After he was demoted to Grade 9, he started his own one-man office to make a living. then found himself in the Library when attempting to go to a HamHamPangPang Sandwich Shop. Roland also claims that he has no surviving relatives.
His parents passed away when he grew up, and his grandmother disappeared mysteriously one day. His wife was another Fixer of high rank. His wife and the unborn baby of his family were both killed in an accident that occurred in Roland’s district when Roland wasn’t there. He claims that he has accepted the loss and insists his story is not unique among those who live in the city.
