Metal Gear Solid 6 – Everything to Consider
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain seemed like the ideal ending to this series; offering up an all-encompassing story about Big Boss leading into Les Enfant Terribles project and twin snakes. Unfortunately, due to messy development and poor relations between Hideo Kojima and Konami, The Phantom Pain fell short of reaching its full potential; leaving fans disappointed yet satisfied after playing through its story arc despite Konami releasing Metal Gear Solid 6.
Which begs the question: when are we getting another entry in this long-running series? Phantom Pain made millions and fans would surely devour another installment; so, surely Metal Gear Solid 6 should be around soon?
As it turned out, however, no such correlation existed at all.
Release of Metal Gear Solid 6 Set for August 9
As of April 2023, Konami had made no official statement as to their plans for Metal Gear Solid 6. While speculations swirl about a remake of Snake Eater 3 may happen at some point in future, the likelihood is diminishing of ever having another Metal Gear Solid game made.
Noriaki Okamura, former Metal Gear Solid producer and writer in 2023. Speaking in Famitsu magazine recently, Okamura gave some encouraging words regarding 2023 as it pertains to Metal Gear Solid: this year will be “announcement-rich.” Whether or not that means anything for Metal Gear remains up for debate; nevertheless there remains enough time in 2023 for something exciting (that doesn’t involve pachinko machines!) to happen!
