Need for Speed Heat is an action-packed racing game that takes place in an open-world setting called Palm City, a fictionalized version of the city in Miami, Florida, and the surrounding region. The game’s map is diverse geographical features, such as mountainous areas and fields that are open.

It also has an underlying story in which participants collaborate with the city’s police department, which is headed by a shrewd persona Lt. Mercer.
The game features the 127 vehicles of 33 distinct brands, including Ferrari making a return after having been absent from Payback due to licensing problems.
