What would happen if you combined folk tale characters with roguelike action-oriented gameplay? You’d get Ravenswatch, a game featuring heroes inspired by folktales and legends with unique abilities. Players can select anyone from The Three Little Pigs to The Snow Queen as they embark on their mission to rid the land of nightmarish creatures that are corrupting it.
With early access now available, Ravenswatch is experiencing unprecedented growth, leaving players eagerly awaiting news of what comes next. Fortunately, Nacon, the publisher of Ravenswatch, recently unveiled a roadmap that provides some intriguing new details.

On Tuesday, March 19th, 2023, The Ravenswatch roadmap was posted in the Steam Community and it outlined their content plan until 2023. Notably, 2023 will see a new hero and second chapter release, plus updates to character abilities, maps, quests and more!

The game developer has yet to reveal much about the hero, but players can expect them during the spring update, according to its roadmap. Furthermore, this patch brings additional ultimate abilities for all heroes, a new teleport system, and magical object icons that further enhance gameplay in this thrilling title.

As for the summer update, players can look forward to Chapter 2: Storm Island which introduces new maps, enemies, Master Nightmare, NPCs, quests and upgrades. After that comes more content such as Chapter 3 and end-game gameplay – although these have yet to be specified on the roadmap.

Note that this roadmap is for the early access April 2023 plan and could change at any time due to various factors. In the meantime, players can choose one of six heroes already available in early access: The Red Hood, Pied Piper, Snow Queen, Aladdin and Melusine.

Players will enjoy the early access to Master Nightmare, featuring over 80 upgrades and 50 magical objects. Plus, with ten difficulties available to choose from, it’s suitable for everyone – whether experienced roguelike gamers or those just getting started in this genre for the first time.

Ravenswatch currently has mixed reviews on Steam, but it looks like the game will only get better with all the new content coming in 2023. Players can look forward to a new hero called Chapter 2, plus additional updates throughout 2023. If you’re searching for an intense action-oriented RPG, Ravenswatch is definitely worth giving a try.
