Return of Resurgence in Warzone 2
Warzone 2 brings back the fan-favorite way to play Warzone with an exciting twist: this time on a much larger scale!
With the arrival of Season 3, many changes and additions are coming to MW2 and Warzone 2. But one feature fans have been asking for since Warzone 2’s release has finally arrived: Resurgence returns to Warzone 2. Let us explore how Resurgence will return in Warzone 2.
Massive Resurgence Arrives in Warzone 2
Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of Resurgence, though it won’t be quite the same as Rebirth Island. This time it will be referred to as Massive Resurgence.
The name change appears to reflect the fact that these revivals will take place on a much larger scale this time. They anticipate having an increased player count this round and plan for it to take place on Al Mazrah map for Warzone 2.
Due to the larger map required for such a large player count, we could potentially face over 100 players in one match of Resurgence. This implies that waves of players will return in much larger numbers.
It appears this will be a rotating game mode, offering only one version of Resurgence at a time. This could be to control player numbers since so many are required for one game.
Spreading out player count across duos, trios and quads could result in some queues being more empty than others. To prevent this from occurring, only one queue for Massive Resurgence will be open at a time.
In the blog post, there were only duos and quads mentioned; however, it’s likely there will also be a time for trios. While this could leave duos with random squadmates and quad stacks having to break apart into teams, Resurgence won’t be the only game mode played.
