Shohreh Aghdashloo (The best part of The Expanse) joins Assassin’s Creed mirage Cast.
Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed Mirage this week as the next entry in its Assassin’s Creed series. They are fantastic, friendly, and neat, and I’m glad they did. The Ezio Trilogy was my last. Although I was not too interested in the future of the series yesterday, it is high on my list today. This is all due to Shohreh Aghdashloo.
There is no disrespect to the series. I was just exhausted from marathoning the Assassin’s Creed and the Ezio Trilogy back in 2012, and I have never stopped thinking about them. Today’s Ubisoft forward saw Shohreh Aghdashloo confirm that she was the iconic voice in Mirage. Okay, I’m paying more attention.
Aghdashloo is Chrisjen Avasarala’s character in The Expanse television show and lends her talents to a few roles in video games. Although she’s appeared in Destiny, Destiny, I recall her best as Admiral Shala’Raan vs. Tonbay in Mass Effect2. If you’re looking for a refresher, that’s Tali’s Auntie Raan.
I interviewed Aghdashloo last year about her work on The Expanse and Mass Effect. She shared her stories about growing up and how she aspired to study political science. Aghdashloo told me she was currently negotiating another role for a “very well-known” game. It could have been Mirage, but I think she has more in the pipeline.
Ubisoft should have shown more gameplay footage in their presentation, but I will be ready to eat a CG trailer. Assassin’s Creed Mirage lets you play Basim and take you to ninth-century Baghdad. Aghdashloo portrays Roshan, Basim’s mentor and member of an ancient organization called The Hidden Ones. Today’s video features Roshan and Basim, but you will have to wait until next year to see them.
I don’t watch a lot of television or movies. But, I can name writers and actors. I know very little about video games and only a few books. I can name any mainstream director, and I will probably search Google for them to find out who you are talking about. But I know Shohreh Aghdashloo as someone so fond of her work. Maybe three.
It is too much to say. I recommend The Expanded and Mass Effect. Shohreh Aghdashloo’s performance might be enough to make them smile, if not for their stories.
