Skyrim is getting yet another re-release because it never ends
It would be easy to assume that everyone who wishes to play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has already done so. But it doesn’t seem so. Skyrim is the gift that keeps giving, no matter how you choose to provide it.
The game has seen many re-releases over the years. The Special Edition remastered, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR and the expanded Legendary Edition. Also, there’s the Anniversary Edition. You say, “Surely not more.” Wrong. There’s more.
It’s technically not a new version, but The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Anniversary Edition is now coming to Nintendo Switch. This is great news for everyone (a shrinking pool but an exciting pool). The Anniversary Edition had been released previously on PlayStation and Xbox.
According to Taiwanese gaming rating board, the Nintendo Switch version was rated. This suggests that a release may be imminent. Switch Brazil reported that the Switch version of the anniversary Edition was given its rating by the Taiwanese games rating board on May 15, even though Bethesda didn’t officially announce it.
Skyrim is a strange character when it comes to Nintendo Switch. In 2017, Skyrim appeared in the console’s unveil footage. However, Bethesda stated that the game was not coming to Switch. The stance of Todd Howard was then reversed, and Skyrim was finally released on the console in late 2017.
The Anniversary edition offers a wealth of juicy content for Switch owners. You can fish and own an aquarium (Why not?) as well as over 500 Creation Club elements. All available DLC. We would love to have an official update from Bethesda, but this seems promising.
