Starfield fans hope it includes an arena similar to Oblivion.
Fans who’ve invested countless hours into games like Skyrim and Fallout 4, eagerly await the release of Starfield on September 6. With such an eager wait, many will eagerly await its arrival.
No matter what you hope to see from Bethesda’s next showcase of space exploration or how many interstellar mods you plan on installing when it arrives, the prospect of entering an expertly curated game has RPG fans of all genres excited.
Recently, some fans who’ve been speculated and worried about the seemingly non-sexual Elder Scrolls game are discussing how they’d like it to bring back a beloved feature from an old Elder Scrolls game.
Are you searching Starfield’s planets for a fighting pit to become champion of?
Their desire for gladiatorial glory sparked a recent thread on the Starfield subreddit, started by user SnopWobbleTop who revealed: “I’ve been replaying Oblivion for about ten years, and one thing struck me as something I wish would return in a BGS game, hopefully starting with Starfield: an arena!”
Many fellow spacers expressed a similar desire to “bare knuckle box dudes in space for cash”, though they noted that simply copying Oblivion’s colosseum into space without making any creative changes would not be ideal.
Users such as StarfieldFollower observed: “Thunderdomes are more likely to come in handy on some remote pirate outpost.” Autarch_Kade added, “An arena would do nicely – a zero gravity arena would be ideal.”
Some would-be astronauts were less interested in the prospect of fighting within such a location as they were in its potential to allow them to gamble with their hard-earned funds.
Thankfully, others were more interested in the friendships they could cultivate through competing in the arena, with one user saying: “As long as we get an aurora’d out adoring fan too.” And Sir-Cellophane adding: “I want an Adoring Fan just so I can airlock him, finally achieving what Oblivion denied me.”
From what we’ve seen so far of the game, while these fans might not get their desired fight pit, they certainly will get an admiring fan to mistreat thanks to a trait called ‘Hero Worshipped’.
