Steam: “Unable to contact the game’s item server.” CS:GO Error

This error message appears when trying to purchase something from the Steam Community Market right now. These issues come after a particularly challenging week for CS:GO users, in which server issues prevented anyone from playing at all last week.

- Alter the Steam download location
- Log out and back into Steam
These fixes ensure that Steam has issues, not your hardware and internet.
We sincerely hope Valve and Steam can resolve these issues soon, as having problems with the game and services almost daily is becoming a real nuisance.
