Bruce Banner, a scientist who was turned into a fugitive after a dose of gamma rays was administered to him and his suicide attempt failed when he saw how he transformed into the Hulk within.
Bruce was pursued in Brazil by soldiers under Emil Blonsky, sent by Thunderbolt Ross. Soldiers fire missiles into a building as Banner enters the building.
This causes tons of debris to fall on Banner. His life is saved by instantly transforming himself into the Hulk. After fighting Emil Blonsky’s troops, he escaped the factory. The Hulk flees to New York in a hurry.
The Hulk saves Rick Jones’ life after he arrives in the city. Jones was kidnapped and held captive by soldiers of an Enclave-affiliated organization. The Hulk then goes out on missions to protect Rick Jones against the Ceres division of Enclave.
The Hulk helps disarm earthquake bombs and destroys an Enclave lab after a few missions. He also saves Jones against a giant robot named Kyklops.
Bruce Banner soon begins working with Samuel Sterns, who in reality was his “Mr. Blue”. The Hulk destroys a satellite and a building on a mission.
However, he is then confronted with the U-Foes, a group of superhumans consisting of a metal being called Ironclad, a telekinetic entity named Vector, a cloud of humanoids named Steam, and radioactive beings inside and out named X-Ray.
The Hulk defeats them despite U-Foes who survive and vow to kill him if he ever interferes again. The Hulk’s mission is to recover stolen nanites that have been hidden inside garbage trucks in Enclave. These are in sight of both the Army and the Enclave.
