Xbox Boss Gives a Promising Update to ‘Fable Development’
It’s hard to believe that it has been so long since a Fable game was published. Fable Fortune was released in 2018, but it was not the RPG adventure that fans had hoped for. You may remember that Fable’s next installment was announced in 2020. We finally have a positive update after years of silence.
Playground Games confirmed that Fable IV would be released on XboxSeries X/S and Microsoft Windows. There was no release date. We don’t know when Fable II will be available, but we now know it is on the horizon.
According to Twitter’s IdleSloth84, Matt Booty, the head of Microsoft Studios, recently spoke at PAX West 2022. He addressed the project’s status. Booty said there is “a lot of cool stuff” but stated that the team had clarified that he would not be able to tell you anything until it was ready.
He said, “Playground’s dedication and craft that they brought to Forza Horizon will apply at Fable. They understand it. […] They have proven they can get it. I’m eager to see what they do next.” Fans can be sure that the Fable experience will be faithful.
