Call of Duty’s Ricochet anti-cheat has substantially cut down the number of hackers entering Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, much to the discontentment of players seeking ranked play or Al Mazrah victory. Unfortunately, even after our best efforts some still manage to sneak past us into playable areas, leading us all down an irritating road towards Al Mazrah victory and beyond!
Before the Season 3 update was released, the team behind anti-cheat introduced numerous measures aimed at safeguarding innocent players when encountering cheaters. For instance, they included making invincible innocent players when encountering them – one such measure included giving these innocent players immunity against them being seen cheaters themselves!

Although these changes were widely welcomed, they have not prevented legitimate players from being subject to abusive shadowbans.

After venturing into multiplay to experience what FJX Imperium and Cronen Squall have to offer, one fan claims innocent players still risk taking journeys into the Shadow Realm.
“After purchasing the Battle Pass and before I could complete even one Sector, I found myself sent back into the shadow realm for another go around,” reports one player.

Reasons behind anti-cheat measures taken against innocent players includes using in-game reporting system as justification.

When multiple players decide to file reports against one another, a shadowban may be issued even without evidence to dispute their claims.

AthleticFunGuy has not been the only one receiving a shadowban during these early days of the new season.

“How are they not aware?” inquires one fan.

Since several members of the community are currently facing temporary suspension from Activision, their only solution may be waiting and hoping they are found free from any wrongdoing by Activision.
Shadowbans in Call of Duty often last four days and can be extremely annoying for players wanting to join multiplayer or battle royale matches.

Activision seems aware of this issue and their Ricochet team are taking measures to prevent legitimate players from becoming banned.
