Civilization 6 Is Civilization 6 an Cross-Platform Multiplayer with PC and Console Support
Civilization 6 has quickly become one of the top strategy games available and continues to expand thanks to updates and its dedicated community. But is this award-winning title suitable for players interested in playing across platforms with friends? Read on! We cover everything you need to know about Civilization 6’s cross-platform support here.
Civilization 6 doesn’t support cross-platform multiplayer between PC and console platforms; thus leaving those looking forward to gaming together on other platforms disappointed.
On the bright side, there is some good news: Players with copies of this game on Steam or Epic Games on PC can now collaborate thanks to Unified PC play – an incredible feature allowing gamers to coexist no matter from which store their copy came. It truly adds another level of engagement between gamers.
Though not cross-platform, players who access this game via any console other than PS4 may transfer their progress onto PC allowing them to pick up where they left off regardless of platform used. To accomplish this task they will use “Multi-Platform Cloud Save”, available both PC and console versions of this title.
All they need to do is create a 2k Account and enable Multi-Platform Cloud Save in their in-game settings – that way your progress will carry over across platforms as long as you use one account on all.
Civilization 6 doesn’t support cross-platform multiplayer gaming; however, there are a few useful features such as Unified PC Play allowing PC players to join together, and progress transfer enabling console gamers (other than PS4) to transfer game saves directly onto PCs. Civilization 6 falls short in providing this cross-platform experience but these features provide some level of comfort to its audience.
