Techland announced that Dying Light 2 had been delayed until February 4, 2022. The open-world zombie adventure was originally scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 on December 7.

The studio confirmed the news via Twitter. It explained that the game is “nearing completion” but still needs to be polished and optimized.

Techland was founded because Techland’s mission is to foster transparency and honesty in communication with our community. We strive to improve in this area every day.

“The production is moving along steadily, and we are nearing the end of the game. We are currently playtesting the game. This is our most ambitious and largest project. We’ve realized that to make the game as great as we imagined, we will need to take more time to optimize and polish it.

The statement concludes, “We are sorry to have you all wait a little longer.” “But, we want the game to meet all your expectations upon release. We don’t want any compromises on this.”
