Fallout 4’s massive quest mod takes you on an engaging buddy cop adventure!
While other survivors may be busy decorating their settlements, trying on quirky glasses or laughing at jokes told by robotic clowns, Fallout 4’s Sole Survivor often looks for new quests to pursue.
Once you get addicted to the rush of shooting, zapping, or bash your way through mutant creatures, bloodthirsty raiders, or massive Brotherhood of Steel gunships in pursuit of goals, returning to normal life can be a challenge.
Are you up for some detective-style adventures in Fallout 4? Look no further than ‘CSEP Presents Loaded Bases – Quest Mod’, created by The Commonwealth Story Expansion Project under Phineas Kube’s leadership.
Previous works have sent the Sole Survivor into an unsettling dungeon and given them additional Brotherhood of Steel-inspired missions to complete.
This time they’ve created eight all-new and fully voiced quests that will see you joining Diamond City security and investigating leads related to The Commonwealth’s chemical trade, ultimately uncovering a hidden synth-based conspiracy.
As per the mod’s apparent buddy cop and film noir inspirations, you’ll have a new companion by your side to serve as an accomplice and help explore post-apocalyptic Boston’s seedy underbelly; alternatively, bring along one or two of your existing followers to listen in on your Benoit Blanc-style monologues.
That said, this mod utilizes Reg2k and Neanka’s ‘Extended Dialogue Interface’ to incorporate its 500+ lines of fresh dialogue, meaning there will be plenty of interruptions and conversations to disrupt your theorising.
Additionally, this mod offers an assortment of stylish outfits, music and a unique weapon to satisfy those who prefer collecting cool loot rather than getting deeply invested in its storyline.
Furthermore, Loaded Bases appears to be compatible with MunkySpunk’s hugely successful ‘The Fens Sheriff’s Department – Bleachers 2’ due to a patch developed by Phineas Kube that resolves conflicts between them.
