Horizon: Burning Shores review debunked by insensitive homophobes

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores has just come out, and it is absolutely spectacular. In it, Aloy travels to what remains of Los Angeles today known as Burning Shores to team-up with Sekya from one of Quen tribe’s displaced members in order to take down one member from Far Zeniths causing havoc there.

Back when Burning Shores was initially announced, it caused quite an uproar when Sony revealed it would be exclusive to PlayStation 5. After playing it however, however, you will understand why that decision was made: our review indicated “Burning Shores represents yet another step up for Horizon series, telling arguably its most cohesive and personal narrative yet. Unfortunately this personal aspect has led to some disappointing review-bombs”.

Burning Shores confirms what some fans had suspected for quite some time – that Aloy is homosexual. By the end of the story, Aloy and Sekya confess their affections for one another; it’s wonderful seeing Aloy do something just for herself instead of constantly saving humanity! However, this development has resulted in review-bombs by homophobes on Metacritic; unfortunately this development has drawn negative responses.

Before we continue, please be advised that some of these’reviews’ contain hurtful sentiments and an unacceptable disregard for human decency. One user commented, stating, ‘I just don’t understand why everything needs to have some political agenda behind it when there already exists Ellie as a lesbian.” Later another wrote – Aloy is lesbian? Unfortunately not; therefore I won’t buy your DLC package and are your loss.”

“This DLC STINKS!!!! In all seriousness, the WokED Culture hits hard!” stated one player while another stated: “Sony turned PlayStation into an extreme leftist platform to express left-leaning ideologies and promote homosexuality through lesbian pornography to please a specific audience, while completely disregarding most people responsible for its profit!!! Diversity equality democracy freedom of expression are nonexistent if only one side can speak their minds!!! As gaming clearly has no straight protagonists… oh wait there are hundreds.”

One review stated, “Look, I don’t have anything against lesbians – this was forced and unnatural, almost as though Guerrilla saw Mr Druckmann games and said ‘we can do it too'”. Again circling back around to Ellie being the sole lesbian allowed on Earth; one final comment read, “Very stupid dialogues; This add-on is awful and cringe. Persons really are not interesting”, summarizing my overall impression when reading reviews online.
